Step-by-Step Washing Instructions
Follow these steps to keep your Poofesure Premium Hoodie in top condition.
1. Turn It Inside Out
Before anything else, flip your hoodie inside out. This protects the printed design from rubbing against the drum of the washing machine. The graphic on the Poofesure Premium Hoodie is screen-printed, so direct friction can cause cracking or peeling.
2. Use Cold Water
Hot water is the enemy of cotton hoodies. It shrinks fibers and fades colors. Always set your washer to cold (around 40°F / 4°C). Cold water cleans effectively while preserving the 80% cotton blend and keeping the print vibrant.
3. Gentle Cycle Only
Choose the gentle or delicate cycle. Heavy agitation can stretch the fleece and loosen the print. A short, low-spin cycle is ideal. If your machine has a "hand wash" setting, that works too.
4. Mild Detergent
Stick to a liquid detergent made for delicates. Avoid anything with bleach, optical brighteners, or harsh chemicals. Fabric softener is also a no-go - it coats the fleece fibers and reduces the brushed interior's softness. Plus, softeners can break down the adhesive holding the print.
5. Skip the Dryer (or Use Low Heat)
Air drying is the safest option. Lay the hoodie flat on a clean towel or hang it in the shade. Avoid direct sunlight because it can fade the print. If you must use a dryer, tumble dry on the lowest heat setting and remove the hoodie while it's still slightly damp. Overdrying shrinks the 320gsm fleece and makes it stiff.
6. Ironing Tips
If your Poofesure hoodie gets wrinkled after drying, iron it inside out on medium-low heat. Never iron directly over the print - the heat can melt the design. A steamer works well too and is even gentler.
